Taylor Schilling Says Her Asymmetrical Lob “Makes Clothes Look Good”

Taking the plunge: Taylor Schilling wore a revealing dress as she attended the 2014 Webby Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday

We caught up with Best Actress winner Taylor Schilling at the 18th Annual Webby
Awards yesterday and just had to ask about her famous lob (or long bob), which was styled last night by Ted Gibson.

“Well, first of all my hair was dead so I needed to cut it off—but I just love the shape,” said Schilling (who wore Max Mara). Even better? The level of sophistication it lends to her look. “I think it makes clothes look good,” she told InStyle.com. “I just feel super polished!” To create the super-slick style, Gibson started with a clean, deep side-part, and then applied Kerastase’s Elixir Ultime ($ 56; kerastase-usa.com) throughout her hair as a blow drying agent. He then blew Schilling’s hair out straight with a flat Mason Pearson brush and followed by flat-ironing 1-inch sections of hair. Gibson finished the look with a light spritz of of L’Oreal Professionnel’s Infinium 3 ($ 20; amazon.com).
