Every year as a slight chill hits the air and fall approaches we crave new jeans! A new season is a great excuse to add some new styles to your collection. For us, Fall 2014 is all about a darker, more mysterious look. We’re going punk rock chic without losing a sense of femininity. This year we will be exploring our options from one of our favorite stores, NYDJ. While NYDJ has loads of great offerings, their jeans for women are really next level. Our denim picks from NYDJ feature exclusive “Lift and Tuck” technology, great for shaping, and the Original Slimming Fit, which gives the wearer an overall look of up to one size smaller! What’s not to love about those features?! Check out our picks below and let us know which is your favorite in the comments. What kind of look are you feeling for fall 2014? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
The Henrietta is a sight to behold! These super skinny jeans come in a classic black with suede embellishments on the back pockets and side seams. We like this style because it has tons of potential as a casual Friday day to night look. Henrietta can not only be paired with just about any heel or sandal, but its skinny ankle would tuck nicely into a great pair of fall boots as well. To get our punk rock chick look, try wearing these with lots of silver bangles, a smokey eye, and your favorite band t-shirt. Add a beanie for a current look or a floppy felt hat for a vintage feel.
Our second pick called the Alina is zipped up and ready to go! Three front zippers with leather details give a punk rock flare to these great fitting jeans. A slightly stacked ankle gives a casual nonchalance that perfectly pairs with boots and a motorcycle jacket. To keep a sense of femininity with your punk look give your lips a pop of color. We like a classic brick red, which looks flattering on just about anyone, or for the more daring, try a high gloss magenta look. Add a high sleeked back ponytail with dangly metallic earrings and you’re done!
RVCA and Beach Riot cohosted an event last night, Saturday July 19th, at SOHO Beach House in Miami Beach, Florida. The two California brands partnered up to host an evening of celebrating Miami Swim and showcasing their Spring 2015 collections to notable guests including Ashley Sky, Chelsea Leyland, Jessie Andrews and others who turned out to support the two brands founders PM Tenore (of RVCA) and Nicole Hanriot (of Beach Riot) last night.
Spring 2015 marks RVCA’s debut at Miami Swim; the collection offers a range of separates and full body styles, many of which feature the artwork of RVCA Advocate Michelle Blade. With the collaboration on Spring 2015 Blade, an LA based painter who has worked with RVCA as a Women’s Advocate since 2012 on installations and ad campaigns, will now join the likes of an ever expanding roster of creative forces that have worked with the lifestyle brand on collaborative projects as part of the brands ANP and Advocate initatives including models Ashley Smith & Erin Wasson, artists Barry Mcgee, Stephen ESPO Powers, Ed Templeton, Dash Snow, Chris & Jo and Raymond Pettibon, surfers Alex Knost and Christian Fletcher as well as Liberty of London, FUCT, CINELLI, and EKOCYCLE.
The season also marks the debut by RVCA’s new in-house women’s designer Anya Violet who has introduced a collection of swimwear with streamlined fits and elevated fabrication and construction in addition to a few pieces produced exclusively for editorial purposes, an effort that speaks to the brands ongoing efforts to position the RVCA Women’s brand in front of a more fashion-conscious consumer. As part of this effort to slowly transition the brand there is also the introduction of underwire and bralette styles in addition to a slight increase in the price points for the collection, which now range from $35 to $90 US dollars.

For many people, their first images of casino gaming may come from various entertainment sources such as film and television. You often see players dressed to the nines in tuxedos and evening gowns accessorized with jewels. While this is an appealing image, don’t rely on everything you see on television programs to determine what to wear for an evening out on the casino. Actually, this image of casino fashion is rather skewed and only exists in a few casinos around the world.
Smart clothing is generally in order when prepping for a night out at the casino. If a casino states that their dress code is smart or casual, this means that one’s legs
generally must be covered which excludes shorts from being worn. This is especially true in many casinos across Europe. Also, included in this are not wearing hooded sweatshirts or football jerseys. As night approaches, expect some casinos to more to a stricter policy. For men, this may require them to wear a jacket. While ties can be worn with these jackets, they usually aren’t required at most casinos. A nice shirt worn under the jacket would be an excellent choice for men to wear when planning on enjoying a night at the casino.
For the ladies, this can be a bit different. However, slacks can be worn. Dresses aren’t automatic requirements. However, this doesn’t mean wearing your cute little black dress isn’t a good idea. Avoid wearing high heels as this can often be uncomfortable. Many casino goers may need to do a bit of walking and one doesn’t want to bring home a set of sore feet at the end of the night. Knowing what to wear to a land based casino is definitely different than one’s attire when playing online casino games at sites such as http://www.casinoonline.co.nz where you can get away with plying in your pajamas if you like.
Last week, we did a double take when Kristen Wiig stepped out with pretty new auburn locks, and at a screening of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty last night at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, hosted by The Cinema Society & Brooks Brothers, she shared the inspiration behind her sassy new hue. “I’ve always wanted to go red and I’ve never done it before,” she told InStyle.com. “It was just sort of [one of those things] where I’m not working right now and it was sort of like, ‘Okay yeah, I’ll just go for it.’” So does being a redhead make her feel like a new person? “Yeah!” she said with a straight face, then in the typical comedic Wiig style that we love, started laughing. “Well, no. Not really.”
In the Ben Stiller-directed 21st Century comic epic, about a man named Walter Mitty (Stiller) who escapes his everyday life by stepping inside his own over-active imagination, Wiig plays the co-worker and love interest of Mitty.
Catch a glimpse of Wiig in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty when it hits theaters on Christmas Day. As for her amazing coif, we can’t wait to see what kind of styles she will rock during the upcoming awards season.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rakuten Global Market for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Are you like me, tired of shopping at the same ol run of the mill websites for clothes and gifts? Yes, familiar sites have some good items but I'm really over seeing other people with the same pieces as me! I had begun to think there was no way I could get around this problem until I discovered Rakuten Global Market, an online market place with over 40,000 vendors from Japan.
I am a big fan of japanese fashion so I was thrilled to see some of my favorite rare brands for sale like Hysteric Glamour (picutred above) and Tsumori Chisato! The prices are great too. I almost can't believe I found these Tsumori Chisato pants below for $57.57!
I really like that at first the print on these pants looks like an abstract leopard print but on when up close you can see that it is actually an array of aquatic shapes done in all black. It is easy to spend hours browsing around Rakuten because they have way more than just sweet clothes. They also have electronics, food, toys, car and motorcyle supplies and even beauty products! I followed the simple steps of entering my name, email address and agreeing to the terms and conditions and now I'm all set to purchase gift or three for myself and some for others naturally. I know this year my gifts will stand out in a crowd when my family and friends wear them out proudly. If you need to ensure that your giving quality unique gifts this year I urge you to Explore Rakuten Global Market to see all that they have to offer! I know you will love it!
