Bayside Forever! Tiffani Thiessen Tells Us Which of Kelly Kapowski’s Outfits She’d Wear Today

If you grew up watching Saved by the Bell like we did, chances are, Kelly Kapowski, Lisa Turtle, and Jessie Spano were your personal style icons. With all things ’80s and ’90s experiencing a revival in the fashion world, we caught up with Tiffani Thiessen to find out which of Kelly’s iconic looks she’d revisit in 2014. As it turns out, the star still has a penchant for her bold-colored ensembles.

“In that role, I wore a lot of colorful jean skirts,” she tells InStyle.com exclusively. “I loved those, and could pair them now with a button-down or T-shirt.” While Kelly’s many neon ensembles will forever hold a special place in our hearts, Thiessen confesses that her character Billie Chambers from the 2002-2003 series Fastlane is closer to her real-life sartorial choices. “I felt the most strong in that role, and loved how it translated to my look. I think about going back to that look often,” she adds.

While you can still catch Kelly Kapowski during the morning reruns of Saved by the Bell, Thiessen is taking on another role by teaming up with the Cosmetic Executive Women group and QVC to take part in their Beauty with Benefits event. This is the second time CEW and QVC have partnered for a cause, and 80 percent of every purchase made during the live broadcast will benefit the Cancer and Careers organization, which works to empower survivors in the workplace by providing career coaching, support groups, expert advice, and more.

Thiessen, who is the Beauty with Benefits celebrity spokesperson, will be appearing in a PSA during the two-hour broadcast. “Cancer hit close to home with me. I have had friends and family affected by cancer, so I was honored to be part of this amazing cause,” she says. “Feeling beautiful on the inside radiates on the outside. Two important women in my life taught me thatmy grandmother and my mother.”

Tune in to QVC on Thursday April 17th at 8 p.m. ET to catch Thiessen’s PSA, and to shop for a cause.

Mara Hoffman’s Coiled Snake Wedding Gown Is Slithering It’s Way Into Our Hearts

If Mara Hoffman’s debut bridal collection of five gowns and two bathing suits wasn’t enough for you, we have good news; Hoffman, known for her bohemian beachwear and graphic clothes, has designed another gown exclusively for online site Bona Drag. The silk “Coiled Snake Gown” (pictured, above left, $ 1,398; BonaDrag.com) features intricate beading around the neckline and is named after the taupe, rose, lavender, and white snake-like beading coiled around the neckline. There’s even two snake heads that come together at the bottom of the low, scooped back.

The dress is part of Bona Drag’s second bridal collection, aptly named the “Ceremonial Collection, and while the collection has its fair share of flowy lace and silk gowns, ethereal kimonos and little white dresses, the bulk of it is made up of a stellar collection of accessories. From white leather gloves and a white pearl labyrinth shoulder piece (pictured, above right, $ 2,390; BonaDrag.com) to rings, cuffs, necklaces, and even white leather moto jackets and lingerie,  this collection has everything you’ll need for what can only be described as the dessert goddess wedding of a lifetime.

“We started the Ceremonial Collection in 2012 as a response to the dire need for bridal for our customer,” Heather Wojner, founder of Bona Drag, told Instyle.com exclusively. “At the time, if you searched online for ‘bridal’ you’d find bland thick tulle white dresses and spiral curl up-do’s. Our customers started asking, ’Could I wear this as a wedding gown?’ or, ‘Am I allowed to have a black diamond engagement ring?’ Yes, if you want to wear a dress made of sterling silver chains or a dress decorated with serpents you’re allowed, and we’ll show you how.”

Take a peek at their lookbook, but be warned that it may leave you with a longing desire to forgo your formal affair and run off to Palm Springs to elope.
